The 70th Santa Barbara International Orchid Show
Humans have been cultivating orchids for thousands of years. In fact, this beautiful flower has been used for herbal remedies as early as 2800 BC! Today, you can join thousands of other enthusiasts in appreciating this great plant at the Santa Barbara International Orchid Show!
The 70th Santa Barbara International Orchid Show takes place at Earl Warren Show Grounds on March 13-15 , 9am to 5pm daily. General Admission is $12 and admission for seniors and students is $10. Children 12 and under are free. If you’re looking to save, you can also purchase a 3-day pass for $20.
The Santa Barbara International Orchid Show is the longest running exhibition of its kind in the United States. It’s also one of the largest orchid shows in the country with over 50 exhibitors and vendors.

Show off your orchid expertise!
Want to do more than passively attend the SB International Orchid Show? You can get involved! There are plenty of opportunities for attendees to become part of the show themselves.
Show or sell your orchids – Register your plants online by March 11th, to have them entered in a juried exhibition.
Submit artwork and photography- Artwork will be judged in an art exhibition portion of the show. Orchids must be the primary focus of the work and it must be original. Accepted media includes: painting, pen and ink, woodwork and glass , for a complete list of art show details be sure to check the website.
Enter your floral arrangement– If you’re a non-professional you can enter your arrangement or corsage into a contest based on the principles of the Western School of Flower Arrangers. You must register for this competition by the 21st of February.
Become a volunteer! – Sign up to help out with the plant hotel, work security or take tickets at the door.
