Take a Bite out of the World's Largest Food Festival!
Taste of Chicago 2014 is so much more than just a food festival. It’s a party, concert event, and all out celebration of everything great about the city of Chicago!
What is Taste of Chicago?
Taste of Chicago, like names implies is a food festival. This 5 day long celebration of cuisine includes the best dining options Chicago has to offer, the great atmosphere of Grant Park and world-class musical entertainment. The event lasts from Wednesday July 9th until Sunday July 13th .
Food Vendors
Obviously the food vendors themselves are the real meat of “Taste of Chicago” (pun intended). 3 types of vendors: five-day restaurants, pop-up restaurants and food trucks will be offering an extremely wide variety of food for guests to enjoy.
5-Day Restaurants
66 restaurants will be open for the duration of the festival providing a hugged diverse array of refreshments.
Pop-Up Restaurants
Pop up restaurants are vendors that will only be open for a limited time, a day or two. So be sure to check out the Pop up schedule to see what’s open when!
Food Trucks
What outdoor food festival would be complete without these portable vendors!
Food Prices
Food and Beverage tickets will be sold in strips of 12 tickets for $8.50 and restaurants will offer “Taste of” portions of items for $2.50 or less. Enabling you to sample a lot without getting too filled up!
Musical Performances at the Petrillo Music Shell
Yes, food is the most important part of The Taste, but that’s no reason to underestimate the surrounding entrainment options guests will have access to. A variety of big name artists covering a wide range of musical styles will take the Petrillo Music Shell all week long during the festival!

Additional Entertainment
The Pure Leaf Celebrity Chef du Jour will have feature daily chef demonstrations by famous gourmet cooking experts. Tickets are $45 and showtimes vary from 5:00pm to 6:30pm
There will also be FREE musical performances at the festival’s Bud Light Stage featuring a diverse selection form rock hip hop and country artists.
History of Taste of Chicago
Last year’s Taste of Chicago made a profit for the first time in 6 years, hopefully this year’s event “Taste” can build on that momentum!
