Santa Barbara International Orchid Show 2013
Come enjoy the beautiful world of orchids in Santa Barbara!
Become captivated by the beauty of orchids at the 68th Santa Barbara International Orchid Show. “A step into [the show] is a step into the lush colors and fragrances of exotic, beautiful orchids,” the Santa Barbara International Orchid Show website says.
With this year’s theme, Orchids in Focus, in tow, visitors can delight in the hundreds of displays of various orchid species and named varieties by exhibitors from North and South America, the South Pacific, Australia and Asia.
Famous for its lavish garden displays, the Santa Barbara International Orchid Show will also feature floral arrangements and corsages of orchid blooms on a more intimate scale; a juried exhibition—managed by the Santa Barbara Art Association—that shows orchids as the focus of fine art and photography; and a special exhibit by internationally known botanical art photographer, David Leaser. There will also be a vast selection of blooming orchid plants, corsages, artwork and orchid supplies for sale.
Want to grow an orchid of your own? There will be plenty of culture demonstrations throughout the show.
The Santa Barbara International Orchid Show, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with the purpose of sharing the joy of orchids and educating the public about orchids at its annual Show in March.
