National Ballet of Canada is Coming to LA


Join the celebration of the National Ballet of Canada’s 60th anniversary in 2014, with Artistic Director, Karen Kain and internationally known choreographer, Alexei Ratmansky.  Kain and Ratmansky have joined together to commission a new and exciting production of the classic story of Romeo and Juliet.  The National Ballet of Canada will be performing at The Music Center in Los Angeles from July 10th-July 13th, 2014.


What to Expect

Attendees should expect a powerful performance of the Romeo and Juliet rendition by Alexei Ratmansky, which includes a live orchestra throughout the entire show.  Ratmansky is a highly acclaimed choreographer due to the mastery of classical vocabulary that he maintains throughout his performances.


Ratmansky is also known for employing fresh and modern effects into his work, while maintaining the feel and richness for the audience to experience.  This performance will be sure to illuminate Shakespeare’s vision and create a work of dance that ballet lovers will be sure to enjoy!


The Music Center recommends arriving at least one hour prior to the start time of the show to ensure time to park and to pick-up tickets.  Feel free to also join in on DanceTalks, which arebehind-the-scenes discussionsin Stern Grand Hall that start one hour prior to show time.  This is a great opportunity to ask questions and engage with other attendees regarding the show!
