Hidden Hikes Near Hollywood

To get the best behind-the-scene views of Hollywood, take a hike. Southern California is known for its scenic hiking trails and amazing views of Los Angeles. Wilacre Park is a local favorite, with many of their trails connecting to other local parks. Situated in the eastern Santa Monica Mountains, this 128-acre park has all the essentials. At Wilacre Park, you’ll find a large parking lot, restrooms, drinking fountain and nice picnic area. Added bonus: the trail is well-shaded and makes it easy to stay cool in the warm LA weather. For a moderate hike, set foot on the popular Betty B. Dearing “Lollipop” trail. It’s a 6.7-mile loop that goes through Wilacre Park and Coldwater Canyon Park. The beginning of the trail has a steep incline, but evens out to an easy wide path. With a 1,136’ peek, this intermediate trail has some of the best spots for LA snapshots.
