Chinatown Summer Fair
A colorful celebration of Chinese culture.
Want to experience authentic Chinese culture? You don’t have to hop on a 14-hour flight around the world to do so. The Chinatown Summer Fair, held next Sunday in Chicago’s Chinatown, is an “iconic annual celebration that is one of the most ethnically unique outdoor events in the Midwest.” (chicagoevents.com)
Kicking off with a Dragon and Lion Dance procession, the Chinatown Summer Fair will be filled with Old and New World music acts, art, kids’ activities, food, martial arts demonstrations and ancient folk dancing.
Not familiar with the area? This summer festival gives you a chance to experience everything that is Chicago’s Chinatown: taste-test the many restaurants (definitely try bubble tea) and window shop through the local gift shops for true Chinese treasures.
Enjoy the best of Chinese cultural entertainment with authentic art, music and food at the Chinatown Summer Fair.
