Vice President of Operations & Development

Tim brings over 20 years of hospitality management experience to Broughton Hotels. His experience spans all aspects of hospitality from working the night audit up to responsibility for numerous hotels covering diverse segments. Most recently Tim was a Regional Director of Operations for Premier Hospitality with responsibility over a portfolio of independent boutique hotels and branded hotels in the full service and select service segments. Prior to that Tim functioned in the same role with Interstate Hotels and Resorts. Tim is a hands-on leader who believes that investing time in the mentoring of associates will create an atmosphere conducive to achieving peak productivity from each team member. Tim has extensive expertise in sales and revenue management which bring an optimal balance to his operational experience in opening, renovations and day to day operations.

What is your favorite holiday? and why?

Christmas. I enjoy the atmosphere of giving. I love the look on my kids faces when they first come downstairs and see the gifts under the tree.

Name one thing that not many people know about you.

Most people think that because I work out a lot I eat healthy....I am actually the exact opposite. I love junk food!

What are your favorite things to do while away from the office?

I enjoy car shows both attending and showing a car. Other things I do quite often include going to the gym, movies and reading.

If you could only eat three foods a day, what would they be?

Pizza, burgers and frozen custard

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Center fielder for the yankees

If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy?

College tuition for all my kids after that would be a Bugatti Veyron and a 67 Shelby GT500

If you could go on a road trip with any one person (dead or alive), who would you choose and where would you go?
I would go with my kids. My son and I did a cross country road trip 7 years ago and it still remains one of my favorite memories.

Who or what inspires you?
I am inspired by true life stories of people who started with very little and made themselves successful.
