Chris Pineda

Creative Services Manager

"If you design it, they will come. If not, you’re in trouble," aka the quote Chris hears in his head when he’s at work. A Northern California native, he relocated to Southern California back in 2002 in the name of life, love and the pursuit of happiness. 2 out of 3 isn’t bad, right? He’s been designing straight from the womb. Sketches of page layouts and logos were drawn with baby food all over his high chair. His parents thought he was posessed. Professionally, he’s been at it over 10 years, working for various ad agencies throughout Orange County before finally coming to his senses and joining broughtonHOTELS.

What is your favorite holiday? and why?

Christmas. Spending time with family is always good and the excited looks on kids' faces when opening presents is priceless.

If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy?

To quote a song from noted musician Janet Jackson, featured in the movie soundtrack for the 1992 film "Mo' Money," "The best things in life are free."

What are your favorite things to do while away from the office?

Hang out with my family and friends, play basketball(once or twice a year if i'm lucky, but I do enjoy it when i do), watch sports live or on TV, attempt to play catch up with my DVR, eat good food.

If you could go on a road trip with any one person (dead or alive), who would you choose and where would you go?

God. I have lots of questions so I might as well start at the top. We would go to Vegas, because taking God to a place nicknamed "Sin City" seems fantastically ironic.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

In kindergarten, I didn't know what to answer either, so the sheet with the list of what kids want to be when they grow up, next to my name it said "be like Dad and work at PG&E." I had no idea what he did there.
